Im interested in constructing my own statues, but I dont know exactly how I would do it. & More so for statues made of cement.
I would need to make a mold first.
What materials would I need?(Plaster?-Ive never used it before)
How would I make the shape of the mold from plaster/other?
(Do i use my hands to sculp it out while it sets or something?)
After the mold, what do i put in between the mold and the concrete/other to keep it from adhering to eachother? (The mold spray, soap, vaseline?)How would i take it apart?
Ive been looking around trying to find out the exact process, and i haven’t. I know its quite simple, but i dont have the money to mess up since materials would be costly for large projects.
My main ignorance and purpose to the question is how exactly would i sculpt the mold, and any information for those who are experienced with the craft.
